I thought that completing this project helped me to better understand how trigonometry can be applied to real life. Several careers involve the use of trig functions to be able to calculate exact answers. Sometimes, if those answers are off in the slightest, the product might not work. Without the use of trigonometry, it would be a lot more difficult to calculate exact answers to be used in the production of an item.
This project also helped to see that no matter how hard a problem may look, there is almost always a way to solve and change it into something familiar without depending completely on a calculator. I saw this be first converting the equation into a function with one trig function using a calculator and then by doing it by hand to get the exact answer, not an approximation.
