Intermediate Writing -- English 2010

Reflection

I think that this course was beneficial to me because it helped me to see how important visual media can be in today's world.  People are more likely to get the big picture of your ideas if it is conveyed through some form of a visual. From this class, I was also able to practice writing a wide variety or essay styles that I could possibly use in future career paths, such as reports. I was able to see how the writing genre can change the ideas that are presented in your essay, as well as being able to target specific groups.  Writing this final essay allowed me to combine all of the ideas that were taught in the class, while experimenting with  a new writing style. I also was able to experiment with different visuals to be able to convey my ideas to the audience. Overall, this class was beneficial to help me see how ideas conveyed by visuals dictate several aspects of the world today.
